Partners in Flight - Canada

Partners in Flight logoPartners in Flight emerged nationally from the Canadian Landbird Conservation Program initiated in 1994. Partners in Flight - Canada was launched to ensure the long-term viability of populations of native Canadian landbirds across their range of habitats. The National Working Group evolved to implement national activities that support landbird conservation at regional and local levels. They collaborated to produce the Framework for Landbird Conservation in Canada, and the Canadian Landbird Monitoring Strategy.

Population monitoring, research, habitat conservation and restoration, and evaluation are key elements of landbird conservation efforts in Canada.
